About the Speaker
Rabbi Sandra Lawson (she/her) is one of the first African American, queer, female rabbis. She is a thought-leader known for tackling difficult questions surrounding Jews and race. As director of Racial Diversity Equity and Inclusion for Reconstructing Judaism, she develops anti-racists policies and trainings, and is a mentor to rabbinical students. Her lecture, “Black, Jewish & Queer: Building Bridges Across Identities & Communities,” will explore the intricacies of intersectionality.
Please continue to visit our website throughout the month of June to learn about additional events in celebration and support of our LGBTQIA+ community.
